92.6 Million Mobile Internet Users Can Browse For Free In Nigeria

The over 92.6 million mobile Internet users in Nigeria can now log onto the web and browse for free for 24 hours daily. This is coming on the heels of a partnership between Payporte, an e-commerce site and Opera Mini, as part of their efforts to deepen access to free web pass to get more Nigerians online.

“Today, we have noticed that some people don’t want to go online to shop because of the cost of the Internet. But with the collaboration we are having with Opera Mini, everyone will be able to shop online without paying as long as you have opera mini browser app on your device, you can get web pass,” Chief Executive Officer, Payporte Global Systems Limited, Mr. Eyo Bassey, said at a press conference in Lagos.

Eyo said that over 92.6 million mobile Internet users in Nigeria can now log onto the web and browse for free for 24 hours daily.
